The Mid-Autumn festival, sometimes called the Mooncake festival, is one of the most important holidays on the Chinese calendar. Every year on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, families get together to enjoy a big meal, munch on mooncakes, and admire the moon. The question is, though, where did all of these traditions come from?
